Description: Dihydrochalcones are obtained by hydrogenation of neohesperidin. Dihydrochalcone neohesperidin is 1,500 to 1,800 times sweeter than sugar with similar concentration (although the sweetness decreases with increasing concentrations of neohesperidin dihichalcone). Organoleptic properties are different from the sugar. A slight decline in the perception of sweetness and a pleasant aftertaste intake (similar to menthol). Sweet profile allows neohesperidin dihydrochalcone mask bitter or unpleasant taste of various compounds, such as minerals, vitamins, antibiotics, alkaloids, etc. Because of these properties is particularly suitable for use in the human and animal nutrition.
